How FML NEO Products work

Neomycin + Fluorometholone is a combination of two medicines: Neomycin + Fluorometholone1 and Neomycin + Fluorometholone2. Neomycin + Fluorometholone1 is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Neomycin + Fluorometholone2 is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
