Hytrol AM

HYTROL AM 2.5MG/2.5MG CAPSULE is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and may also be prescribed for heart failure or other conditions that require blood pressure control.

Do not take HYTROL AM 2.5MG/2.5MG CAPSULE if you are allergic to amlodipine, enalapril, or any other ingredient in the medicine; have a history of angioedema (swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat); have severe kidney or liver disease; severe aortic stenosis (narrowing of the heart’s aortic valve); or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a condition where the heart muscle, especially the left ventricle, becomes abnormally thick). HYTROL AM 2.5MG/2.5MG CAPSULE should also not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Before using HYTROL AM 2.5MG/2.5MG CAPSULE, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, heart conditions, electrolyte imbalances, a history of allergy to blood pressure medicines, or if you are on dialysis. Avoid high-potassium foods and supplements. Inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking, as drug interactions may occur.

Serious side effects of HYTROL AM 2.5MG/2.5MG CAPSULE include angioedema (swelling of the lips, face, or throat); signs of kidney or liver problems (yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, abdominal pain, or inability to urinate); a severe drop in blood pressure; fainting; persistent vomiting; or diarrhea. If you experience any of these symptoms, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor immediately.

Use HYTROL AM 2.5MG/2.5MG CAPSULE exactly as directed by your doctor for ongoing blood pressure control. You may notice results within a few days, but the full benefit can take up to four weeks. Regular monitoring of your blood pressure and kidney function is important.
