How Met XL NT Products work

Metoprolol Succinate + Isosorbide Mononitrate is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol Succinate + Isosorbide Mononitrate1 and Metoprolol Succinate + Isosorbide Mononitrate2. Metoprolol Succinate + Isosorbide Mononitrate1 is a nitrate which relaxes the blood vessels and decreases the oxygen demand of the heart. Metoprolol Succinate + Isosorbide Mononitrate2 is a long-acting beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Together, they improve symptoms of angina (chest pain) and heart failure.
