Lidocaine + Betamethasone + Chloramphenicol1 is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing pain sensation. Lidocaine + Betamethasone + Chloramphenicol2 is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy after an allergy or infection. Lidocaine + Betamethasone + Chloramphenicol3 is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
