Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone is a combination of four medicines: Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone1, Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone2, Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone3 and Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone4 which treat ear infections. Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone1 is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing pain sensation. Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone2 is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone3 is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins. Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Chloramphenicol + Dexamethasone4 is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen and itchy.
