How Medilop Tablet works

Medilop Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole, Dicyclomine and Loperamide which treat diarrhea. Metronidazole is an antibiotic which works by stopping the growth of bacteria and other diarrhea-causing microorganisms. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). By doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Loperamide is an opioid agonist which works by decreasing contraction of the intestines making the stools more solid and less frequent.
