How Starpill Tablet works

Starpill Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Aspirin, Atenolol, Losartan an Atorvastatin. Aspirin is an antiplatelet medication. It works by preventing the platelets from sticking together. This decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. Atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate while Losartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to relax blood vessels. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication. It lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises the "good" cholesterol (HDL).

  • Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
  • It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you are diabetic. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
  • Do not stop taking Starpill Tablet suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly, thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
