It is given by an injection into a muscle only by a doctor or nurse.
In Prevention of Hepatitis B infection
Hepatitis B is an infection of the liver caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). It can spread from person to person through blood, semen or other body fluids. It can cause mild illness lasting a few weeks or can lead to a serious, lifelong illness. Twinrix Adult Injection is given to prevent hepatitis B infection. It is advisable to consult your doctor for complete information regarding vaccination schedules.

How Twinrix Injection works
Twinrix Adult Injection is a combination of two medicines: Freeze-dried Live Attenuated Hepatitis A Vaccine and Hepatitis B Vaccine (rDNA) which prevent Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. They help develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections.

- Twinrix Adult Injection is used to immunize adults 18 years of age and above who are at risk of both hepatitis A and hepatitis B infection.
