Aflibercept is used in the treatment of diabetic macular edema, cancer of colon and rectum, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, cancer of fallopian tube and kidney cancer.
How Aflibercept works
Aflibercept is an anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) medication. It works by reducing the formation of abnormal blood vessels that damage the retina and may cause vision loss in diabetic macular edema.

- Aflibercept is used for the treatment of eye diseases caused by diabetes, macular degeneration and macular swelling.
- It is administered directly into the eyeball by an eye specialist.
