Midostaurin works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that triggers the multiplication of cancer cells. This helps stop the spread of mast and cancer cells.

Febrile neutropenia, Nausea, Mucositis, Vomiting, Headache, Petechiae (red or purple spot caused by bleeding into the skin), Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Nosebleeds, Infection, Increased glucose level in blood, Upper respiratory tract infection

- Take Midostaurin exactly as your doctor tells you.
- Your doctor may prescribe medicines to help prevent the nausea and vomiting during treatment with Midostaurin.
- Take Midostaurin with food.
