Ramucirumab is used in the treatment of cancer of colon and rectum, stomach cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, cancer of fallopian tube and kidney cancer.
How Ramucirumab works
Ramucirumab is an anticancer medication. It works by blocking the ‘VEGF receptor 2’ thereby cutting off the blood supply to the cancer cells. This slows the growth of cancer cells and eventually kills them.
