No special preparations are essential prior to this test. It is a relatively safe test that involves a needle prick for a blood sample. The result is denoted as a percentage or a number. The test is accurate within 24 hours period after the last alcohol intake. A positive result means that you have consumed alcohol recently, while a negative result means the absence of alcohol consumption within the detection window period.
