Metronidazole + Dicyclomine + Loperamide is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole + Dicyclomine + Loperamide1, Metronidazole + Dicyclomine + Loperamide2 and Metronidazole + Dicyclomine + Loperamide3 which treat diarrhea. Metronidazole + Dicyclomine + Loperamide1 is an antibiotic which works by stopping the growth of bacteria and other diarrhea-causing microorganisms. Metronidazole + Dicyclomine + Loperamide2 is an anticholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). By doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Metronidazole + Dicyclomine + Loperamide3 is an opioid agonist which works by decreasing contraction of the intestines making the stools more solid and less frequent.
