Yes, excessive use of Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch may cause tolerance which means that Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch may lose its effectiveness on you. Therefore, usually the doctors prescribe the smallest dose required for effective relief of acute angina attack. This helps maintain the effectiveness of Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch. While using Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch patches, it is best to take it off for 8 to 12 hours of every 24 hours. Q. Does Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch stop heart attacks?
Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch is prescribed to prevent attacks of heart-related chest pain (angina) in patients with coronary artery disease. In this disease the blood vessels (coronary arteries) which supply blood to the heart become narrowed because of which the heart has to work harder to get enough oxygen. Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch prevents angina by relaxing the blood vessels so that the heart does not have to work very hard. Also, relaxation of coronary arteries increases the oxygen supply to the heart.
Q. Can I take sildenafil if I am taking Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch?
No, you should not take Nitroderm TTS 10mg Transdermal Patch if you have taken sildenafil.
