Product introduction
Pryor Tablet is a medication used in the treatment of prostate cancer. It works by blocking the effects of testosterone on prostate cancer cells, which help slow down the growth and spread of prostate cancer. It is often used in combination with other therapies to treat prostate cancer.
Pryor Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, always take it in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Also, continue taking this medicine for as long as your doctor prescribes it, as missing a dose or stopping the treatment prematurely can reduce its effectiveness and may impact overall treatment outcomes.
Some common side effects of this medicine include fatigue, skin rash, hypertension, hot flush, arthralgia, diarrhea, falls, and weight loss. These side effects mostly occur at the initial stage of the treatment and usually disappear within a few days with continued treatment. However, let your doctor know if any of these side effects get worse or bother you. The doctor may also monitor you regularly to check the effectiveness of the medicine.
Pryor Tablet is not suitable for everyone. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor know if you have a known history of allergic reactions to any of the ingredients of this medicine or have any other pre-existing medical conditions. Also, inform the doctor if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines. This medicine is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as it can cause harm to the developing fetus or nursing baby.

How Pryor Tablet works
Prostate cancer cells depend on androgens to grow and survive. Even in cases where the cancer becomes resistant to standard hormonal therapies (castration-resistant), androgen receptors in the cancer cells continue to be active and promote cancer growth. Pryor Tablet targets these androgen receptors, blocks their activation, and prevents them from binding to androgens. This action inhibits the signaling pathway that drives the growth and proliferation of prostate cancer cells.
